FIFA 11 News

As we kicked off the year FIFA 11 managed to jump back to the top of the UK New Year Charts. Call of Duty: Black Ops ended the year as the best selling video game of 2010 whilst FIFA 11 remained popular in 2010, finishing second in the All Formats Chart and achieving a top two place on the PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as finishing the year as the best selling game on the PSP.

The start of the year also saw the rise of the iFVPA as our gold partners at the FVPA - FIFA Virtual Pro Association offered an enhanced gaming experience by bringing Clubs and Virtual Pro's together to compete in Club Tournaments as well as special competitions where players from different countries can participate and play alongside each other.  They kicked off with their 8 Nations Tournament.

Our very own Team Sweetpatch TV player, Nenad Stojkovic, the winner of the 2010 FIFA Interactive World Cup, attended the FIFA Ballon D'Or gala event in Zurich recently and had a chance to interact with some of the best footballers in the world. Watch the video here.

We were honoured to be selected to run the 6 FIWC UK Live Online Pre-Qualifiers between January and April.

After 2 qualifying events, Button Bashing held their Xmas Challenge Final at High Wycombe. Our good friend Chris Bullard of Team Dignitascame out on top.  Check out the photo's and videos from the event here.

The "rage quit" is a problem for a lot of online games these days and its an entirely user created problem. But that doesn't mean publishers can't do more to minimise its impact on the honest gamer. Our partners at FIFA Soccer Blog ran an article so you could put forward your solution so hopefully EA could deal with rage quitting better.
